The Ultimate Series Dutch ovens are seasoned using the PRO3+ process, which consists of three seasoning phases. This patented process offers several advantages over conventionally seasoned cast iron and was developed specifically by BBQ-Toro to provide an even more enjoyable cooking and grilling experience with cast iron.

As with our "preseasoned" products, the first step of the process involves coating the cast iron with soybean oil and seasoning it. Then, using our specially developed method, the cast iron is seasoned again to create a higher-quality and more robust patina. Finally, as a third step, the conventional seasoning process is repeated.

The patina created by the PRO3+ process makes the cast iron more resistant to rust and, thanks to its improved non-stick properties, also to burnt-on food. With this special process, BBQ-Toro has brought unique cast iron products to the European market, offering cast iron enthusiasts not only an enhanced grilling and cooking experience but also reduced cleaning and maintenance.

The lid of the Dutch oven also has feet. If you turn it upside down, you can use it as a grill pan or serving dish! The thermometer port allows you to conveniently monitor the temperature without having to lift the lid.
