Information on burning in
The cast iron pans are already seasoned and ready to use. If re-seasoning is necessary: ​​Clean the pan with hot water and then rub it with a seasoning oil (such as DOPFHELD), a seasoning paste (such as DOPFWUNDER), or alternatively, coconut oil. Place the cast iron pan upside down in a fire or a kettle grill where the desired temperature of approximately 200°C (390°F) can be reached. Leave the pan upside down in the hot grill at 200°C (390°F) for one hour. Simply rub off any remaining fat from the pan. Done! You can repeat this process occasionally to fill the pores and optimally protect the cast iron pan from rust.

Information on cleaning/maintenance
Hot water is sufficient for cleaning. Food residue and burnt-on bits can be easily removed with a stainless steel ring scourer without damaging the patina. However, never use soap or harsh cleaning agents, as these will destroy the seasoning layer and the grill pan will then need to be re-seasoned. Do not leave food residue in cast iron pans. After use, remove the ash immediately, as it will otherwise promote rust formation when combined with moisture. After cleaning, dry the pan and immediately rub it with a seasoning paste (e.g., DOPFWUNDER).

Information on storage
Grease the cast iron pans with BBQ-Toro DOPFWUNDER care paste, DOPFHELD care oil or coconut oil. This will help the pans withstand longer storage times.
