Information on burning in
The cast iron pot from BBQ-Toro is already seasoned and ready to use. If re-seasoning is necessary: ​​Clean the pot with hot water. Then rub it with a neutral-tasting vegetable oil (e.g., coconut oil). Place the pot upside down in the oven at 200°C (or better yet, outside in a hot charcoal grill) for one hour. Rub in any remaining oil. Done. Repeat this process regularly to fill the pores and optimally protect the cast iron pot from rust.

Information on cleaning/maintenance
Hot water is sufficient for cleaning – scrub off larger food residues with a brush. Never use soap or harsh cleaning agents. These will destroy the seasoning layer, and the pot will then need to be re-seasoned (see above). Do not store food scraps in the pots. Remove ash immediately after use, as it promotes rust when combined with moisture.

Information on storage
Grease the pot with good cooking oil and place a piece of kitchen paper between the lid and the pot. This way, the pot will easily withstand even longer storage periods.
