The cast iron tagine pot is intended solely for cooking and steaming food on suitable stovetops, grills, or open fires. Check for damage before each use. During operation, the pot, lid, and handles become very hot – risk of burns. Only touch hot surfaces with heat-resistant gloves or suitable cooking utensils. Always place the tagine pot securely and move it carefully, as its weight poses an increased risk of injury if it falls. Take care when removing the lid – hot steam and escaping liquids can cause scalding. Do not quench with cold water, as this can cause material stress and cracking. After use, allow to cool completely, clean, dry, and oil if necessary to prevent corrosion. Children must not use the tagine pot and should only be near it under supervision. Do not continue to use the tagine pot if it is cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged.
