Whether on a rocket stove or directly over an open fire – this plancha makes roasting, cooking, and grilling effortless. Whether it's juicy meat, delicate fish, or crisp vegetables, the griddle plate always delivers optimal results and full flavor.

With an inner diameter of 33.5 cm, the plate is perfect for grilling different ingredients simultaneously. The cutout in the center of the plate ensures direct heat, promotes airflow, and allows for different temperature zones – ideal for efficient cooking on the rocket stove.

The cast iron grill plate distributes heat optimally, ensuring consistently perfect grilling results. The raised edge reliably prevents fat or liquids from dripping off the plate.

Simply place the griddle plate on your grill or rocket stove and put the food on the plate. You can also place the griddle plate directly in the fire or on hot embers.

The BBQ-Toro cast iron griddle comes pre-seasoned and is ready to use immediately. Detailed cleaning instructions are included.

Information on burning in
This cast iron griddle from BBQ-Toro is pre-seasoned and ready to use. If re-seasoning is necessary: ​​Clean the griddle with hot water. Then rub it with neutral-tasting vegetable oil (e.g., coconut oil). Place the griddle upside down in the oven at 200°C (or better yet, outside in a hot kettle grill) for one hour. Rub in any remaining oil. Done. Repeat this process regularly to fill the pores and optimally protect the griddle from rust.

Information on cleaning/maintenance
Hot water is sufficient for cleaning – scrub off larger food residues with a brush. Never use soap or harsh cleaning agents. These will destroy the seasoning layer, and the grill plate will then need to be re-seasoned (see above). Do not leave food scraps in the plate. Remove ash immediately after use, as it promotes rust when combined with moisture.

Information on storage
Grease with good cooking oil and place in kitchen paper. This way, the grill plate will easily withstand even longer storage periods.

The cast iron plancha is intended exclusively for frying and grilling food on suitable grills, cooktops, or fire pits. Check for damage before each use. During operation, the plancha and adjacent components become very hot – risk of burns. Only touch hot surfaces with heat-resistant gloves and suitable grilling utensils. Always place the plancha on a stable surface and do not leave it unattended while in use. Do not quench with cold water, as this can cause material stress, cracks, or deformation. After use, allow to cool completely, clean, dry thoroughly, and lightly oil if necessary to prevent corrosion. Children must not use the plancha and should only be near it under supervision. Do not continue to use the plancha if it is cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged.
