The kazan is already seasoned and ready to use. If re-seasoning is necessary: ​​Clean the kazan with hot water and then rub it with seasoning oil (such as DOPFHELD), a seasoning paste (like DOPFWUNDER), or alternatively, coconut oil. Place the kazan in a kettle grill, over a fire, or alternatively in your oven (Caution: Ensure adequate ventilation!) for one hour; a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit) should be reached. Rub in any remaining grease. Done! You can repeat this treatment occasionally to fill the pores and optimally protect the kazan from rust.

Information on cleaning/maintenance
After use, you should immediately remove the ash from the pot.
Important: Do not store any leftover food in the pot.
Wait until the kazan has cooled completely. Then, hot water is sufficient for cleaning. Food residue and burnt-on bits can be easily removed with a stainless steel ring scourer without damaging the patina. Never use soap or harsh cleaning agents.
After cleaning, dry the kazan, as moisture can promote rust formation. Then, immediately rub it with a care paste/oil (e.g., DOPFWUNDER/DOPFHELD).

Information on storage
